SOVE Webinar - Vector-borne Disease (VBD) Preparedness and Response: Status of VBD across the SOVE Regions - Part 1
Time & Location
About the Event
The Society for Vector Ecology (SOVE) in collaboration with SOVE international regions is launching a webinar series on vector-borne disease (VBD) preparedness and response. The series will comprise of 3 separate webinar sessions on the following topics: 1. Current status of VBD, 2. Roles and challenges for VBD surveillance, what are the lessons learned and are we adapting sufficiently? 3. Capacity and key needs for VBD interventions, are the tools currently used sufficient?
Experts from public health authorities (i.e. CDC, ECDC, Public Health Departments, Academia, Vector Control Districts) from each SOVE region will present the local strategies followed to better prepare and respond to vector-borne disease threats and the associated challenges. We hope that these topics will be of high interest to the SOVE membership, will promote collaboration among the different SOVE regions and highlight some of the common challenges faced world-wide among public health authorities towards vector-borne disease management. On July 29th we start with our first webinar session on the status of VBD across the SOVE regions (USA, India, Europe, Asia) which will consist of 60min presentations followed by 30min live Q&A session. We hope to see you all there!
