Janet Hemingway, CBE, FRS, DSc, PhD, BSc, NAS (Foreign Associate), FMedSci FRCP (Hon), FRES (Hon), FAAM
Janet Hemingway is Professor of Tropical Medicine at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and Founding Director of the Infection Innovation Consortium (iiCON). Responding to the growing challenge of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging pandemics, iiCON brings together academic, industry, and clinical partners in a £170 million programme to transform the discovery and supply of much-needed anti-infectives and accelerate their journey to market. She is a senior technical advisor on Neglected Tropical Diseases for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and has been PI on projects in excess of £370 million including the BMGF funded Innovative Vector Control Consortium, the ERDF funded Formulations programme and the BMGF funded Visceral Leishmaniasis Elimination programme. She is a Past President of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Professor Hemingway was appointed the Director of LSTM in 2001 and stepped down on 1st January 2019. She was awarded a CBE for services to the Control of Tropical Disease Vectors in 2012.

Filipe Dantas-Torres, MV, MSc, DSc, PhD, FRES, EBVS Veterinary Specialist in Parasitology
Dr. Filipe Dantas-Torres, a veterinarian and public health researcher at the Aggeu Magalhães Institute in Brazil, is a trusted expert in veterinary parasitology. His extensive knowledge is evident in his leadership roles, including Chair of the Tropical Council for Companion Animal Parasites (TroCCAP) and Editor-in-Chief of Parasites and Vectors. He is also a key member of the Executive Committee of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP). His extensive publication record, which includes approximately 385 articles and 35 book chapters, focuses on leishmaniasis, heartworm, and tick-borne diseases, including ehrlichiosis and babesiosis.
